We buy from the farm, not from a cold room

We started Foodlink to cut out the middleman between the farm and your kitchen. We take your order, go to the farm, and buy yam, rice, palm oil and vegetables at their freshest. Because we deliver only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, produce is bought for your run, not stored and sold to whoever comes next.

From farm to your kitchen

  • Yam lifted at the farm — Tubers come out of the ground heavy and firm. We choose the ones that will travel well.
  • Rice sorted by hand — Stones and chaff come out before the bag is sewn, so you are not picking at your pot.
  • Palm oil poured fresh — Thick and red, poured into kegs the week of your delivery. Nothing sits around going pale.
  • Vegetables picked that week — Leafy greens, peppers and tomatoes chosen for the run. We pack them loose so they breathe.
  • The vehicle, loaded — Boxes stacked and tied down before we leave. Your order travels on your chosen day.
  • Your kitchen, that evening — Food that still smells of the farm, ready for the pot. That is the whole point of what we do.
